The little ruby mp3 player I have been coding in ruby the last half year is finally public. I have started a (open source) project on rubyforge. mlmp3p (or My Little MP3 Player) presents a concise but extremely functional command line mp3 player! Wrapping either mplayer or mpg123 (whichever is present), Mlmp3p provides high-powered playlist manipulation. It’s the vi or emacs of command line mp3 players. The project's homepage is tentatively on my site at http://alecjacobson.com/mlmp3p/. Demos, functionality overviews to come... Please contact me if you are interested in this project.
